Conrad...did you forget your glasses again??
A hunting accident in Albany left one man shot and the other arressted for aggravated assault.
Conrad Masse, 76, and Wayne Goff, 58, were hunting bear together using GPS to track two bear hounds that they had earlier released. Masse used his truck to try to get in front of the bear while Goff waited down the road.
When the bear did emerge, the two men were approximatley 541 feet from eachother. Upon seeing the bear, Masse opened fire and fired at least three shots.
Of those three shots, only one struck the bear while another shot struck Gof in the pelvic area. He was then transported to North Country Hospital where he was later transferred to Darmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.
After investigationing the inccident further, Masse was issued a citation to appear in court on charges of Aggravated Assault on Februray 28th. He was also issued tickets for having a loaded rifle in his vehicle and not having the proper display of permits for the bear hounds.
Gof has since been released from the hospital and is now in stable condition.
